i. Dr. Farris’ Constitutional Literacy, “Parental Rights,” followed by discussion

ii. Discussion on how the NSA can prevent terrorism while respecting privacy

i. Motion to amend the bylaws: “If a member of Generation Joshua applies to become a member of the club, the club shall vote on whether to extend membership at the next regular business meeting, by secret ballot, with a simple majority determining the outcome.” Motion was passed unanimously.

ii. Common Core action – libraries and school districts

v. Reading Program**; Motion to move club reading program to the summer months of June, July, and August exclusively, reading a book a month, with the books chosen by the club, with Up From Slavery by Booker T. Washington to be the book for June. Motion was passed unanimously.

**the motion passed on the reading program caused it to be moved from announcements to new business.
